Master Blaster congratulate Sehwag for breaking the record

Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Virender Sehwag on becoming the highest scorer in ODIs after his 219 run blitz against West Indies in the 4th ODI on Thursday.
 
In an SMS sent to news media site, Sachin wrote, "I am very happy for Viru. It is even more satisfying that an Indian has broken my record."
 
Prior to Sehwag's effort Sachin's unbeaten 200 run score against South Africa in 2010 was the only double ton in ODIs.
 
India powered their way to a 418-run total, their highest in ODIs as India took a big leap to claiming the series which they led 2-1.

Performance Review of Captains in IPL 2011 Part 1

The IPL has reached its business end and four teams have made it to the play-offs – Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. Kings XI Punjab had an outside chance but their defeat to Deccan Chargers ended their 4 match winning streak and allowed Mumbai to reach the last 4 without much of trouble.3 out of the 4 teams that reached the play-offs have Indians as their captain and 4 out of 6 teams that did not made it to the final stage had foreign captains. Here’s the performance review of the 6 captains who were unable to take their teams past the league stage.

There are no clear reasons why this year’s IPL is duller. We could have called it simply dull but saying ‘duller’, it means that previous versions were entertaining. There can be many reasons:

Buddh International Circuit: India’s name for its first F1 Track

Two and a half years of relentless effort, the Jaypee Group has been hard at work to create the venue for India’s inaugural F1 grand prix. At a ceremony recently held in the capital, the Jaypee Group have unveiled the name and logo for the circuit. India’s very first F1 Racing Grid will be hailed as the Buddh International Circuit. The logo, which was also unveiled at the ceremony consists of a swoopy speedy heart like shape painted in the shades of the Indian tricolor.
