India defeated Pakistan to enter the semi-finals of hockey event in Asian Games on Saturday, Nov 20. India thrashed Pakistan 3-2 to enter the semis in Group B match, keeping the hope of another gold medal in Asiad
 
India took the lead through a penalty corner from Sandeep Singh before Rehan Butt equalised for Pakistan. Dharamvir Singh then gave India a 2-1 lead which they took into half-time. After the break Pakistan equalised once more through Shakeel Abbasi before Sandeep Singh converted another penalty corner to make the score 3-2.
